As the All Progressives Congress continues her state-wide campaign, the governorship candidate of the party, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has reaffirmed his resolve to work for the progress and prosperity of the state.
In Biase Local Government, where the APC Campaign kicked off for the Southern Senatorial District, Sen. Otu went down memory lane to remind the people of Biase how he touched severl lives and impacted the LGA when he represented them at the Senate. He assured them that he will roll more empowerment programs that will see several young men and women gainfully employed when elected governor.
"When you sent me to the Senate, did I segregate against any son or daughter of Biase" he asked.
"You are aware of my love and commitment to the growth of our people. It is on that note that I want you all to support me so that together, we can ensure a better life for our people"
At Akamkpa Local Government, Sen
Otu highlighted the importance of Akamkpa to the political and socio-economic advancement of the state.
"this local government is immensely blessed by God. We have no business with poverty. When we come in by May 29 this year by the grace of God, we will make sure that we encourage every factor of production.
"I speak like someone who you have sent on errand before, did I disappoint you? I heard there are some people who are showing overnight concern for Akamkpa people. That is what we call emergency brotherhood. But let me tell you, the moment I get into office, I will ensure that I construct the Oban-Nsan road. Within my first month in office, I will ensure that I restore electricity in Akamkpa. I will upgrade the College of Education to University of Education. Akamkpa people you know me, when I say anything, I will do it"
The rallies witnessed an unprecedented turn out of supporters and fans who thronged the events to show love and support.
